Print Finishing & Binding

Laminating

Our roll laminators can cover posters and other print jobs such as maps or house plans in gloss or matt up to 1 metre wide and as long as you like, laminating can be done on the spot while you wait including guillotining or can be left to be picked up at a later time, pouch laminating is also available.

Guillotining

Most print jobs have some guillotining involved, whether it be a magazine or an A4 flyer, this is because part of the paper when printing is used by the printer to feed the paper through the machine, Our Guillotine ensures consistency, where all copies have the same dimensions.

Binding

Binding can be done several ways:

o Plastic Comb Binding:
* Clear plastic front cover.
* Black card back cover.
* Black Plastic binding strip.
* Pages will open flat.
o Wire Binding:
* Clear plastic front cover.
* Black card back cover.
* Black Wire binding strip.
* Pages open flat.
* Neater than Plastic.
* More permanent.
o Side Stapling:
* Staples down left hand edge.
* Up to 20mm thick.
o Saddle Stitch:
* Staples down centre fold.
o Ring Binders:
* 2, 3 or 4 ring binders supplied by customer.
o Perfect Binding:
* Perfect Binding is done like a book.
* Minimum Quantity of 50 units for perfect binding.

For small quantities, over the counter service is usually available - Bring it in and we will do it while you wait. Larger quantities can take a little longer.

Framing

We frame works printed on canvas, ready to be mounted on the wall, great for portraits and displaying photography. Mounted canvasses make an ideal present, examples of mounted canvas can be viewed in the shop.

Scoring & Hole Punching

When folding card or thick paper scoring is necessary to ensure quality presentation.
Our machines can automatically punch holes in a document as part of the printing process if the clients wants their documents held in a 2,3 or 4 ring binded folder, Folders must be provided by the client.

Collating

Our machines automatically collate multi-page print jobs, such as booklets, reports & manuals, this cuts down on time and as a result the cost of the job.

Folding & Stapling

Our Laser Copy Machines are able to fold and staple as part of the print process, which cuts down on the overall cost of a job to the client.

We also have an automated folding machine which allows us to apply a range of different folds depending on the clients needs and allows us to output jobs a lot quicker and reduces the overall cost of the job for the client.
